Link is Down

Go through below checklist to troubleshoot your installation.

The link is breaking a lot and we are experiencing a high packet loss. What might be the issue?

Please make sure to have the same Error Correction configuration on both sites from the modem configuration under dashboard.

When we were changing the link configuration, the link went down and didn’t go up anymore. What could be the problem?

Please check the below parameters:

1. Same default Modulation is activated on both sites from the modem configuration under dashboard.

2. Same error correction on both sites from the modem configuration under dashboard.

3. Same bandwidth on both sites from the modem configuration under dashboard.

4. The Transmitter is ON from the radio configuration under dashboard.

5. The Radio Power Supply is ON

6. High Interference.

During the rain, the link went down more than 20 times although link protect with a bandwidth of 7Mhz. The link modulation is 1024 QAM.

Adaptive modulation is not activated on the link.

For this reason you are not having a stable link especially during the rain.

The configured modulation is fixed to 1024 QAM. Although LinkProtect is activated, but since the modulation is fixed to 1024 QAM on a bandwidth of 7MHz, the link goes down since 1024QAM is not supported for a bandwidth of 7 MHz.

Accordingly adaptive modulation should be activated to solve the link stability issue.
